Find your coffee: a guide to our tasting notes

Choosing a coffee should feel inviting. You do not need a tasting vocabulary or a complicated brewing setup to begin. Start with the flavors you already enjoy, then use a coffee’s tasting notes as a guide.

The notes on our product pages describe the cup’s flavor profile. They help you compare coffees, rather than promising that every brewing method will produce exactly the same experience.

If you like chocolate and caramel

Cielo Alto brings chocolate, caramel, and vanilla notes. This medium roast is a naturally processed, single-origin coffee from Copán, Honduras. It is available in 8 oz and 12 oz whole-bean bags.

Vista Dulce also starts with chocolate and caramel, with ripe-fruit notes in the mix. It is a good profile to explore when you want familiar sweetness with another layer of flavor.

If fruit-forward sounds like you

Natural Aura lists pear, strawberry, and vanilla. Choose it when you want to explore a fruitier profile with a creamy impression.

Brisa Alta, our Peaberry coffee from Acatenango, Guatemala, pairs chocolate and caramel with mandarin. It offers another direction for people who enjoy sweetness alongside citrus notes.

If you want brightness and a little spice

Velvet Reserve is a medium roast, washed-process coffee from Honduras with lemon, chocolate, and cinnamon notes. Its product description highlights a creamy body and clean, approachable brightness.

Make the comparison your own

Try two coffees using the same brewer and recipe. Taste each while warm and again as it cools. Ask yourself which cup you would reach for tomorrow. Your preference matters more than finding the “right” answer.
